When it comes to Airbnb in El Poblado, finding that ideal property can be challenging. This is why we’ve put together this brief guide on how to find your next Medellin rental.

Single travelers and bachelor party groups alike will need to look out for clear signs that give away whether a rental is legit or a scam. Allow us to aid in this process. Without further ado, here’s Airbnb in El Poblado – How to Choose the Best Rentals in Medellin.

What Makes a Good Rental in Medellin?

A general rule of thumb people go off of is the closer a property is to Parque Lleras the better.

By now, you probably know that Parque Lleras is Medellin’s main nightlife sector and it’s located in El Poblado. This sector has the city’s best clubs, bars, and restaurants. Not to mention the best-looking women you’ll ever meet in your life. But more on that later.

A good rental in Medellin should be in El Poblado, at least 5 miles from Parque Lleras or Provenza. This place should have somewhat of a view, a doorman, and of course, party-friendly.

What to Look out for in an Airbnb in El Poblado

My Tinder users out there will agree that pictures can be very misleading. So if you’re going to go off of just pictures, you’re in for a surprise. Here are a few things you need to look out for.

  • Reviews – The best listings should have reviews no more than a month apart.
  • Pictures of Bedrooms – If you’re coming with a group of picky degenerates, I would request pictures of all the bedrooms. Landlords sometimes try and force the pool area, views and lounge areas on us. But share one or two pictures of the bedrooms only.
  • Location, Location, Location – Read reviews because there are landlords that will label their rental ‘luxury pad in Parque Lleras’. This can be misleading because when you end up booking, you’ll discover the place isn’t in Lleras. But instead, in Envigado or even Bello. Two cities next to Medellin.

How much would a 1 Bedroom be per night?

If you’re traveling solo, we recommend an apartment in the Energy Living building. The apartment building is modern, close to Parque Lleras and many units have great views.

For a 1 bedroom in Energy, living expect to pay anywhere between $90 – $200 per night. Sounds a bit steep but when you see these places on Airbnb, you’ll know they’re worth it. There’s a gym, an infinity pool on the roof, and full-time security. These units aren’t exactly party friendly but you can have guests over and have a good time if you’re not some sort of lunatic with music on blast.

It can also be a pain in the ass to register people to come in to see you. But as long as they have a valid ID that states they’re over 18, you’re good. In the end, this is for your security.

How much would a 5+ Bedroom be per night?

If you’re here on a guys’ trip, there are a few things you must know.

If you’re coming with a group of 20, don’t expect a Jaco-like rental where there are 16+ bedrooms. There are no places with 12+ bedrooms that are worth considering. You’re going to have to share bedrooms.

Here’s a place we recommend that’s close enough to Parque Lleras but far from the noise.

Casa Vegas features:

  • 6 Bedrooms
  • 14 Beds
  • Fulltime security
  • Daily Cleaning Service
  • Underground nightclub
  • Pool
  • Jacuzzi

Not too shabby.
